Need a New Tyre

A bit p***** off, went to put my Zed away last night and found the near side rear flat, screw in the centre of the tyre, pumped it up and put the car away for the night.

Removed. The wheel today to have it fixed tomorrow and found this on the inside.

How this happened, god knows.
Need to fork out for a new one now

Lucky you found the inner edge bulges, having had a Z3 2.8 rear wheel blow out on a dual carriage way a £100 tyre would be my preference.

Pirelli P Zero Nero, only done a couple thousand miles, manufacture date 0816 on tyre. I know for a fact that I haven’t hit any potholes, three eggs in a row, spoke to a neighbour who used to work in a garage and was also a MOT tester and he said he’d never seen one like that.

These are not Linglongs, though I wouldn't expect that of budget tyres either.

I’ll be taking it for a new tyre tomorrow and keeping the old tyre, need the car for the H4H day next Sunday.

Seen this before usually caused by running tyre soft.

Tyre guy said potholes, don’t recall ever hitting one, and the Missus said it wasn’t her, just have to put it down to experience.

Well personally I would have done my nut as it appears to be manufacturing.

You can be very thankful for that screw as it may have saved your life. I think I may have framed it!
