I bought some wheel decals a few weeks ago,

Over the last couple of days I've had a bit of heat on in the Shed and had the up on the lift and got them fitted.

I masked them off and gave them 3 coats of clear lacquer.

Just touching up some kerb rash on the left rear till I can get it done properly.

I tried them on the lip, and the next inner step, as I would've preferred that too but they would need to be printed on a radius.

This week's little project is another Christmas hangover. I got a wireless reversing camera after seeing one @gookah had fitted on Mrs G's car at Zedfest. I bought a Boscam K7 kit.

I fitted the camera one afternoon last week and getting the cable from the camera into the boot area behind the right rear light was no easy task, completed today.

The monitor is attached to the bottom of the screen with a sucker.

Using the coloured gauge at the green segment gives you approx. 1M space.

The yellow line gives you approx. 0.6M

and the red only 0.3M.

Having got it all connected I tried it out and although the monitor paired with the camera the camera didn't show an image on the monitor. I discovered that BMW applied too much paint for me to get a good ground on the rear light fixings. I simply fitted a "star" washer between the nut and the body to bite through the paint.
I just have to tidy up the wiring from the monitor to the supply now. The monitor is ignition fed and is in "stand-by" mode till you select reverse and then the camera sends the image to the monitor. Haven't tried it in the dark yet, . . . . . it was tea time.
