It failed its MOT three years ago with severe rot. I put it into storage for a year, before my friend who owns the storage yard thought he would surprise me and have the welding done (by another mate). When I got wind of it, I said I wanted to refresh the rear end. This turned into an a year of welding once or twice a week and suspension rebuild. It was at the paint shop (B&P Rhodes in Ossett) for three months (I think it got put on the back burner) before I got it back in November last year. If I had pulled my finger out I could have had it all refitted by the summer and be able to use it, but other things got in the way, like getting married.
Its still not finished. The front ride height needs to be sorted (wrong springs?), sideskirts need to be fitted and a new hood needs to be installed. But it passed its MOT this morning with no advisories. I am more than happy.
The wheels are awesome. They're style 32s which I bought from @Dakar Z3 last year.
Now, I just need to do the same with my Z3, and my E36 compact. And my Ford Anglia van. And E21.....
