Next step in the middle of the february: installing a Bilstein B12 with new wishbone´s front and Z-Performance ZP4 in Gunmetall (8,5x19" IS35 with 225/35 R19 front and 9,5x19" IS40 with 255/30 R19 rear):

All modifications with german TÜV... it´s sucks...
It´s wintertime, changing back to the Rial Salerno´s and time for driving with a lot of fun :)

Next Problem, entertainment from the OEM System: Navi Business (606), CD changer (672) and Hifi Loudspeaker (676).
Looking at the german forums www.zroadster.com and www.e90-forum.de... and found www.speaker-city.de

At the 5. March 2016, I am driving from Schleswig-Holstein to Bayern: https://www.google.de/maps/dir/Ruge...6b14f71b77757eb!2m2!1d12.1152567!2d49.3126185

Alex, from Speaker-City makes a good Job and 1 week later, I got my Z4 back.

What did he do?
Headunit Alpine CDE 178BT on Mosconi DSP6to8, amplifier Audison AV5.1K and Audison due.
Three way front System: Hertz ML280.3 + ML700.3 + ML1650.3
Subwoofer: JL Audio 10W3v3 S4 in a box at the footrest.

Footrest box:

Next Post, next Upgrades:

Back at home, the Brake Pads at the front are finished...

3 Options: only change the Pads, upgrade to the Si-Brake (325mm Diameter) or the M3 CSL E46 Performance Break (345mm diameter).
Si Brake: no Problem with the german TÜV, the M3 Brake a little bit tricky but with help from friends from the german www.zroadster.com Forum no Problem.

What I need for the Performance Brake:
Brake Caliper left 34 11 6 786 741 (BMW)
Brake Caliper right 34 11 6 786 742 (BMW)
Brake Sensor 34 35 3 411 756 (BMW)
Brake Disc left 24.0128-0208.2 (ATE)
Brake Disc right 24.0128-0209.2 (ATE)
Brake Pads 13.0460-4848.2 (ATE)
Steel braided front lines 3cm longer then the regular rubber front lines
4 Bolts DIN219/ISO 12474 12.9 M12x1,5x80 mm

Serial Front Brake:

IMG_1632.JPG

And changed to the Performance Brake:

IMG_2283.JPG

I still working for an english DIY, it´s coming in a few days...
Minimum rim size 17", better 18":

IMG_1439.jpg

Next step: H&R Anti Roll Bars

The Winter is coming (16/17) and time to change the rims...
If you ever drive with light rims, you never change back to heavy rims.
Looking and find the Motec Nitro 8x18" IS30 with Pirelli Sottozero 3 (18,5kg)

IMG_0352.JPG

That´s the mods from the year 2016 :)

- selector lever handle, complete leather and ///M seam, build by www.meinlenkrad.de
- Mosconi RC remote, controlling the power of the subwoofer.

IMG_3497.JPG

In this year, 2017, my Zed had to go to the routine controlcheck (i.e. TÜV all 2 years).
The problem: the lambda was to high, no stamp, no driving...
To fix the problem, I change the Air Pump with Pressure Hose Assy and the Valve, 4 Lambda Sondes.
New TÜV-testing: all okay

Time to have fun with the car and checking for new Upgrades :D

1. Upgrade: Performance Break rear, including german TÜV (did I say, it sucks, the german TÜV???)

What I need? A little help from two friends and I got the specs.

Break caliper from the E88 135i

IMG_3339.JPG
BMW Partnumber: 34 21 6 786 743 (left) and 34 21 6 786 744

Brake discs also from the 135i, took the ATE-discs 24.0122-0257.1:
IMG_3343.JPG

In the inner side was a V4A ring pressed, to fit the E85 park break to the size of the E88 disc size:
IMG_3344.JPG

Now I am waiting for a good TÜV ingineer, that gives me the clearence to buil it.

When it´s ready, it´s Looks like that:

IMG_2459.JPG

That´s all in this Moment, and I hope, you can read all, that´s more then 20 jears ago, that I write in english

greetings
Michael

Thank you, it´s a good training for me.
Thank you for sharing your car and upgrades with us.
It´s a plessure for me, to share the Upgrades. Without input from other Zed owners, no updates for my Zed ;-)

Great works Michael, I'm guessing your TUV is equivalent of our yearly M.O.T. Test? Is the emissions test done every two years only? Your English is very good thank you.

Regular Name is HU (Hauptuntersuchung), colloquial TÜV.
We must test the car every two years, is the car okay: Brakes, rims, tires, engine, the Upgrades all in the vehicel regestration?
The emmissions test is a part of the HU, named AU (Abgasuntersuchung), without AU, no HU...

Here a Picture of my vehicel regestration:

Thank you.
The greatest wish for my car: KW V3, adjusted by http://www.wwmotorsport.de/ , but this is a little bit expensive this year.
Some other rims, 18" or 19" from Schnitzer...
Changing to ///M-seats...

There is a lot in the Pipeline

The Bilsteins didn’t last very long - were they leaking or just got soft?

The front dampers leaking, the rear go soft.
The better way: Koni with Eibach springs, better quality of the dampers.
That’s not good great given the price of Bilstein I think. Especially as your roads in Germany are so much smoother. Might be worth contacting them as it could be a production issue.
