Another person who chose to take their car apart in summer.

I'm in the middle of the same at the moment. Alot of work but worth it. Just got mine back up and in. Brakes are connected but I have a few small items to finish when I get back from camping with the kids.

That looks great, I did mine last year and really wished I'd had everything blasted and powder-coated rather than painting it as the finish and durability is just so much better!

That looks great  But now you'll have to clean and paint everything else underneath or it will drive you nuts :arghh:=))=))

Looks fab - definite ‘car porn’ - especially with that title! Out of interest, how much did it cost to get all the parts blasted and powder coated?

It's just hammerite but properly blasted, rust treated and a tough undercoat of stone chip underneath.

I've ground out all the rust and treated it then painted the patches in grey stone chip which is really grating at me. Yer i know the rust is gone but i know it's patches of the wrong colour and the MOT guy will see it at think that looks kack.

It's paint not powdercoat. Probably would have been alot cheaper to powdercoat lol
I paid £60 for the soda blasting but i had a few things done like the spare wheel, carrier and front brace.

Hahaha i know, i just keep looking at it willing it to be finished. It's a long way from finished
Was the intention to fix the paint and have it for my wedding this weekend but the car had other plans of chilling lol
