Does Not look quite that bad a job, providing you can get a new bonnet (hood) in America at a decent price. Of course I am assuming that no damage was done to the Chassis in the accident. If so you will need a jig to pull it straight.

The chassis legs are straight...that was a definite sigh of relief!

Great news on the pull apart that the engine ,chassis rails are intact.
A nice bolt on rebuild and some paint is going to see a great car emerge looking forward to the next installment

I moved to LA from Manchester in early 2009 after meeting my, now, wife.

For me now it's Zee...when in Rome... :)

Hey Nathan, I like your vids and you definitely have a nice candidate for your project.

I wouldn't have gone with the "B is for build" bandwagon as I think the guy is extremely clumsy and sloppy in his jobs (runs many projects at the same time...or better he doesn't, bad welding jobs...he's basically buying wrecked cars on the cheap and making them possibly worse...but hey, it's a free world :D)

Great to see another Z being saved. On a down note it does not look like the sports version as it has standard seats not the sports seats

Another Zed saved from scrap yard.

Well done, especially a 3l.

A little bit of love & care and she will reciprocate.

Love the video Nath, look forward to the next one mate. I'll probably be back home near Lincoln by then. Good luck.

Tony.

Might be worth checking the gearbox mounting(s) Nath, it's possible that the box is slightly out of line not letting the gear selector work properly on 2nd gear, which in any car, is usually the first one to give problems.

Tony.

ps. Great to see her rolling mate, love the $1 battery too.

Good to see how far its come. The 3.0 has that much Torque you will easily be able to miss second gear out as it will still pull very easy jumping from 1st to 3rd with out having to rev it too much

I remember @Lee doing some repairs on the gearbox on his ///M (I think) not too sure if it was related to slipping out of gear though?

Tony
ps. Might have been the detent locking pins.

I'll check the linkage...if it's not that, I'll wait for the next half price sale at the scrap yard and see if I can pick up a box cheap.

If you check on Real.oem you may find other models which utilise the same box.

Tony.
