We are members of different marketing groups which on the whole are a load of s*** just an excuse for a few people to go an a jolly abroad on a "marketing trip".anyway the latest thing is rename lamb as the name puts people off!Cows and calfs are sold as beef, little piggies are sold as pork but lamb is sold as lamb and people imagine little lambs running around playing.So I've got some mutton for sale,put your orders in now be ready next week in lovely chops and joints .....

Why is it not just called 'sheep'?

I like baby mutton! My old dad used to call a tough old piece of mutton " Jump dyke" . I have often said that I wish they could cross sheep with Elephants. I LOVE lamb chops but they're so small . and not cheap either. Best ever use of mint sauce Hugh.

Do you ever taste anything when you eat a McDonald's ? The fries taste of fat and salt.the so called meat is tasteless and is made out of old dairy cows udders .theonly thing that actually tastes original is the SALAD yum

My daughter eats the occasional kebab and she knows what goes into it!!! Its a good way of getting rid of the poorer quality meat.yuk

In Slovenia they cook sheep and pigs in underground pits for a couple of days (Serbian thing) and that is great food.
Used to buy one for about 90 Euros (on my expenses of course) and feed the whole pub (bar)

A couple of weeks ago we had a lady on the news talking about Mutton
She said it had gone out of fashion
And they are now trying to reintroduce it here
I can remember it years ago
My nanny used to buy it
But haven't seen it on the shop shelfs for a long time now
