Guys there a short video on utube with Chris Bangle describing the design influence on the early z4,he puts it over in an exiting way,in case you want to see it.Theres a z4 there hes describing.This is for you guys who may have missed this.ps many people including myself think the early z4 will go down as a design classic,dont know if you agree???

Hi go to utube, and type in Bangle z4 ,and it will come up.ps I also notice he designed a controversial fiat,which in fact the design with sharp line shows where the mk1 z4 design came from.I also liked the distinctive design of that fiat sorry its name escapes me.

I agree with you @philiper
As for me, I didn't like all of his designs from the beginning, but once I got used to the looks I recognised how important the Bangle era was for BMW's step from past into the future. Recent models wouldn't look so up-to-date without him

Well done for putting the bangle vid on,his enthusiasm makes me want to jump into the z every time i watch that.I think the mk1 z4 looks even more exotic when parked along side big suvs.Its low slung lurking attitude is a joy to see.ps yes i did say exotic?????
