MP3/CD changer installation issues.

I’m fairly new to the Z3 and I decided that I fancied trying to install a retrofit mp3 interface into where the cd changer is supposed to be on the back of the stereo.

I seem to be getting power to the unit but I don’t know how to tell the stereo that it has a cd changer installed. The only modes that I can access are radio and tape.

Does anyone know how to tell my stereo that it has a ‘cd changer’ installed or whether this is even possible.

Failing that does anyone know where I can find the user manual for the stereo cause I don’t have the one for my car.

I have a similar unit installed and get the same issues as you. Have you tried connecting to the unit and playing music then see if the radio will auto detect?

Tried that but didn’t have any luck.
