Another year and another pass, emissions all good as it's the first test since I put the M54 manifold on and ditched the EGR pump.

Next thing to look at disconnecting is the vacuum operated flap in one of the tailpipes? doesn't seem to serve any purpose bar noise suppression and looking at S/H 2.2/2.8TU exhuast on eBay I notice they don't seem to have it fitted?

I wedged it open on my Z3 2.0, wasn't difficult as the spindle was seized anyway. Great to hear you got a pass, love to hear that:thumbsup:

So another piece of usless perished vacuum pipe removed

Runs from the vac tree on the rear of the inlet manifold down to some sort of round can shaped thing then another pipe runs to the back of the car to this

Which operates a flap in one of the tailpipes....well not anymore, vac tree capped off.

After a bref road test the early feedback is the exhaust note is much deeper between 2/3k
