So managed to get the Zed through this years test. Failed initially on front nearside suspension arm and boot
and a tyre.
£256 all sorted.

Needs front brake hoses.

If you're going to change them , change them all, for stainless steel braided ones. Job done, once and for all.

Even stainless braided hoses have "rubber" inners. It's just that you can't see them degrade.

Even stainless braided hoses have "rubber" inners. It's just that you can't see them degrade.

Rubber hoses are also made of two seperate parts, an inner "tube" which carries the fluid and an outer"sheath" which is there to protect the inner part.
The inners don't degrade, even on rubber hoses. It's the outer sleeve that splits on rubber hoses to reveal the inner part that carries the fluid. Stainless braided outers give increased protection to the inner part, even from damage in an accident.
