Hi, it's been a while since on, and a lot has happened in the year, topped off by mot fail on the 2.8.
Some easy fixes, but also failed on corrosion on both rear suspension mounts, I had always thought the z3 was ok for rust. So back in storage until the spring and then look at getting it back on the road. Will keep you posted on developments
Best wishes everyone, Simon

Where exactly is the corrosion?
It is in the sills by the rear jack point, actually a clear hole under the paint work.
The other elements should be ok, the emissions are likely because it has done only about 1000 miles in the last 12 months.
I suspect when the sills come off a blocked drain outlet will be a chief suspect.
Cheers, it's good to be back even if with a problem

Can you post some pictures Simon. If the hole is in the outer sill it should not fail as the outer sill (cover) is a bolt on body panel and not structural. If it is holed on the inner sill then it should fail, but also should be mentioned as a fail in regards to seatbelt mounting too.

Tony.
