First MOT since owning my Z3. Was a bit nervous.

Passed, albeit with some advisories. Any advice about which of these I should definitely think about getting sorted sooner rather than later?

Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
  • Power steering pump has slight seepage (2.1.5 (a))
  • Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
  • Offside Front Shock absorbers has light misting of oil (5.3.2 (b))
  • Nearside Rear Shock absorbers has light misting of oil (5.3.2 (b))
  • Rear Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i))
  • Rear Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))

The brake pipe can't be that bad otherwise he'd have failed it. I might have asked him to fix that and replace the brake fluid while he had the car.

DIY I'd look at the shocks first.

One side leaking probably means they're not damping equally anyway.

Rear are dead easy. Did mine last week and didn't even need to jack up or take a wheel off.

Shame you're that far away. I would certainly look at the shockers, probably original and removing them will likely show they have very little damping left.
Rear spring corroded, WTF. A waste of time putting this down, they're always rusty. Forget it.
As mentioned, the brake pipe would've failed if it was that bad. Worth cleaning it to double check.
Power steering leak. Clean it all down with and aerosol of brake cleaner and keep an eye on it.

Tony.
