Well that was a decent result, I would double check that power steering leak is on the rack and not the rubber feed pipes to the reservoir. I had an advisory a few years ago and it was the end of the rubber pipe at the reservoir end gone soft and leaking, new pipe from BMW sorted that and new stainless jubilee clips. Rear discs are not that expensive, Carparts4less usually come out cheapest with their discount codes, watch out for their brakes offer to come up + a set of new pads. Unlikely the handbrake shoes will need replacing but check out the backplates and the shoe retaining pins are not rusting away.

Thanks @colb. I’ll give the rack a good clean up and see if I can spot where it’s leaking. It is very minor. I do check the fluid levels now and again and there has been no visible change. The rear disks are actually fine. They were replaced by a previous owner not many miles ago, but then the car sat for a couple of years so they just don’t look great. They are pitted on the edges rather than worn. Probably a winter job along with the grotty looking callipers I think 😁

Refurb the Calipers is a good idea as replacements are twice the price as the front ones, good winter job as you say.
