Some of you may remember I've been replacing the seat bushes in the last couple of weeks but have probs with the passenger seat motor/spindle kebabs, anyway Andy sold me a replacement seat base which arrived with the kebabs removed I've only now noticed the spindle threads are handed & one thread block is marked L the question is which side does one marked L go in the passenger seat,
door side or transmission tunnel?? Steve

I can't answer your question because I know little about seat bushes - sorry.

I decided to have a gamble on L being left but left as you sit in the passenger seat, I think it should be left as you look look at it from the front of the car as it all works fine now but the forwards/backwards switch works in reverse:facepalm: Doh!!!!:( Seat in, seat out.....

I can sympathise with you.
I rebuilt my n/s seat fr/r motor but inserted it all back in the casing the wrong side so now it works backwards  .:banghead:
I'll take it out at some point and fix it only because i know its like that :meh:

My seat is not bolted in cos of my airbag issues so I could quite easily swap the kebabs over in a few minutes, I take it if I did swap them over the seat switch will then work properly? It can really only be that which is the problem I hope....
