After making a new work table top for the B&D Work mate I picked up for a fiver. Today I fitted some threaded inserts so I can bolt down my router table. I used these type of inserts.

First I had to take of these rubber feet

then mark through the holes onto the table top once it was centralised. Drill.to the size of the small end of the insert then screw the insert into the table top with a 6mm Allen socket.

but you don't need to leave these in as the inserts finish just below flush with the surface and the excess insert underneath can be trimmed with a cutting disc. When it's screwed down it looks like this.

Following on from yesterday, clamps removed and trimmed on my drum sander I made last week. The mystery object looks like this.

Still waiting for bits for this but more tomorrow. Gotta keep busy.

And everyone else I've seen has been gardening

Too cold for gardening round here today Paul, I've been tucked up in the Shed with the door shut. Z is a bit dusty though, may have to wash it again next week;)

Mine clean but unused now for a while. A quick run out two weeks ago to charge battery and clean the brake discs. That about all it's done for a while. Are you and Shirley ok.

Yes, we're both good thanks mate. Worried about the kids as usual. Gary is on his own every other week, he should have Izzy on Friday for 6 days, then she goes back to her mother for 8 days.. Meanwhile Abbie is working as a nurse at LCH, so you can guess how much we'll be worrying for her and family.

Tony.
