I've always fancied going and wondered if anyone on here has done it. My initial plan is to drive there and back arriving on Saturday and setting back off on Monday.

I can plan the road trip but would appreciate any advice on places to stay when there, best affordable views of the race and any other general tips or advice.

Thanks

Never been myself but a friend goes every year and he has said it is absolute murder on that weekend hence he usually goes either by rail or plane at the beginning of the week and stays a few miles outside Monoco as you will pay an absolute fortune anywhere else. He then stays on until the middle of the following week until all the bustle dies down and gets time to relax after a hectic weekend.

We are driving down to Monza. Staying in the lakes.

Monaco is just so much hassle and so expensive. I won't be returning there again.

I think the best way to do Monaco would be by boat

Must be amazing to see the cars run through Eau Rouge.

Did it years ago but in my opinion, you are better off going to Spa-Francorchamps.

This might be of some help though.......

Thanks HT but why do you suggest Spa?
Just love it there, old fashioned historic circuit in the middle of a forest, easy to get to by car and plenty of parking.
Was very lucky last year, had VIP tickets.
