I spend some time looking on a few other forums reading infomation on z3's builds.

Some guy has uprated his own z3 headlights to projectors.

What do you guys think?

I like the look of these and would be interested on a how to guide.

They look similar to Angel eyes, so I suppose it depends on the cost to do the modification.

Looks ok mate. But like Zedonist says depends on cost over Angel eyes. I had a set on the Z3 and cost £229 the set for chrome ones

Mine were £199, I imagine the parts could be cheaper though, time for an ebay trawl

Those are nice but I saw on bimmerforums in the US last year a conversion I really liked and spoke with the chap, must dig out the emails.

In this version just the dipped beam was changed so the original high beam remains keeping that OEM look ( I don't like how the smaller diameter rings look, prefer the 'cropped' look of the originals, more retro and period to my eye).

The HID retrofit kit is about £70 for two modules, four modules would make it £140, so within the bounds of doable.
