Mixed Run Flats / Non Run flats

Sorry i know this has been asked before somewhere?
Not the Zed but the GT needs new front tyres rears changed last year currently has run flats all round, need to change the fronts
Want to change fronts to non run flats but not ready to change rears, is this OK / legal to do?

As far as an mot goes it's is legal ( also legal to have runflat left front standard right front)
But the manual say even this is not illegal its is not recommended due to the difference in ride and handling characteristics.
