Misaligned wing mirror

My drivers side wing mirror is not flush with the base.
I tried gently moving it back and forth but it’s reluctant to move.
I’m wary of using more force in case I break it!

Do you think a spray of WD40 would free it?

Any tips on how to fix this, much appreciated.

Nothing to loose giving a few daily squirts of wd.

ACF-50 is by a country mile better than WD40, I used it on mine and it works a treat.

I’ve used ACF-50 as well. It’s not cheap, but seems good. This is what mine looked like when it broke off. Best to flood that area with lubricant regularly.
