Wanted Mirror [glass only] driver's side 2001 2.2i

As the title suggests I need the mirror [just the glass part] for my 2001 2.2i, driver's side.

If someone in Australia has one or can get one for me will you please contact me? Stuff like this is hard to come by and the dealers charge outrageous prices.

Why can't the bread ever fall butter side up? LOL

That's exactly what I've done with both my zeds. They seem to like having one mirror so magnified you can count the wrinkles on the zed driver behind

I tried about 3 of the cheap eBay mirrors and the mounts they came with before trying a different approach...
The mounts the mirrors were supplied with were terrible and never stayed in place, so I took my OEM mirror that had cracked, and removed all of the broken glass to leave just the backing plate, and then glued the new mirror to the OEM backing plate with a flexible adhesive.

@David thanks for the tip, I will also remove the mirror and use the original back which is in superb condition.

@hard top appreciate the link and I am ordering one now. Well,I am emailing him to see if he will send it to Australia as Ebay says he won't. We shall see.

@Cooper with both my zeds i have found one mirror really magnified I.E objects appear closer then they are. Although not a pain when driving, reversing is a bit nerve racking. So on ebay with both cars i bought a £3.99 stick on mirror (Same shape as the z3) that sits over the existing mirror.

@Lee is right but I don't notice it any more and I think its the passenger wing mirror on LHD and that is the mirror glass that I linked to on e.bay.

I've just order 2 eBay replacements, wide angle for drivers side and convex passenger side. That's what the seller listed as the 'standard' fitment

I'm sure they are both flat glass that are on at the moment though

Hi @t-tony thanks. The vin is LL73078 rhd no heat 2001 2.2i the back is good just the glass actually required. I didn't snap it back in properly a long time ago and then it just popped out yesterday onto the road.
