Out solo today, so no planned route just headed North. No stops for coffee and cake just a top down drive out for the pure pleasure of the drive in glorious sunshine. Can't beat The Peaks in the sun.

Well done Dave, ditto although left a bit later and headed South ! No photos, the Yonderman had limited cakes left but the Lemon Drizzle cake was excellent!

Driving towards home along Strines as dusk approached with the roof down can be recommended !

Although. Has anyone turned on to Strines from the Ladybower side lately. There's new kerbing on the left hand side. Looks quite nice but it sits really proud. Then you realise there's not much tarmac left on the other side of the road for cars coming towards you. I think someone is going to scratch an alloy if you have a big 'un coming the other way . . .

I can certainly think of worse ways to spend a day Dave. Looks glorious in the sunshine mate.

Not noticed that but then again I always join Strines from the Bolsterstone side then turn off left over Ladybower towards Hathersage

Very familiar roads there Dave, often stopped at that layby on the road towards Hulme End (2nd photo) and that lane up from just above Hartington to the crossroads towards Earl Sterndale is a favourite.👍 Lovely day , but brass monkey weather!

True Ken, but the heater in the Z3 is magnificent plus with the heated seat I was toasty. A brilliant day:thumbsup:
