Mini Help Needed

My neighbour has a mini cooper convertible and the drivers window doesn't want to play, it won't go up totally and it drops and it won't do the down and up bit before the hood moves or when the door opens /closes, it does still operate with it's switch but only as above. The passenger one works as it should no problem. Any help appreciated.

My son had a 123 coupe and that did the same sometimes. I used to hold one of the buttons on the fob and all the windows would open then do it again and they would all close and this reset them, would be OK afterwards might be worth a try

I might try that on our Abbie's Beetle, it's "lost" the window drop function when you open the door too.

Thanks guys. We tried the button reset procedure that was on a google video but that didn't seem to work ,then my neighbour's husband borrowed some tools from me and stripped the door moved a few wires and bits of the mechanism and it worked, great saved her a fortune at the dealers.
