it looked even smaller than it is because it was parked next to a Nissan Navarro pick up truck!

It’s amazing that cars have all got so big as a result of crash safety, yet this is possible. Maybe it’s pedestrian safety that is more important than occupant safety.

The old smart was a very safe car regardless of its size.
cars have become bigger to accomodate the inflated ego of their drivers.

So, anyone fancy a guess as to how much a new mirror will be? Enough to write-off the car, perhaps?
Would suprise me .
We bought a full mirror assembly for a hyundai i10 ( dealership part) over 400 quid just to buy it .

I was working over in Amseterdam a few months back. The place is full of little tiny electric city cars. They looked perfect for running around a busy city.
