just received a new meyle thermostat for my 2.8 as suspect my original 2.8 was failing i did the hot water test and it did open and close, but closed very slowly...
anyway the new meyle thermostat has come back and has a vent hole at the top with a brass pin, and also the meyle item seems a little bit shorter than the original bmw item dated 1997 !!! also the small plunger on top of the thermostat looks to be a smaller size on looking at cross refences to the thermostat it says its the same anyone else fitted a meyle item and like to comment ?
