It's an interesting statement you make, I'd add 'could've been'. A wasted talent in my view.
Agree Andy with wasted talent but as we all know he was the first

Agreed to a degree mate but the best team then would get battered by the best team today, just on fitness alone let alone skill and speed. Eras are difficult to compare.
Of his day Best was peerless. Such a shame nobody could control him.
The game then though was slower and played with a much heavier ball. It was when at half time players went to the dressing room for a cuppa and a fag.
The speed and skills today are a world away from then but much is ruined by some of the antics both on and off the field. They’re driven by the obscene amount money washing around the sport.
It’s so hard and probably unfair to compare players from different eras.

Messi is over rated in my opinion. The whole Barca team is set up for him.

Can't help but think all this money given to charity by Ronnie is good advice from his accountants tax dodge, I know I'd rather give it charity than the tax man. Still awesome player, if he played for England I'd back us to win.
