Yeah, wierd topic!

Went to france for a week, and haggled an upgrade to the rental car. I ended up with that merc and... didn't like it. Well I mean it's a nice car, but I certainly wouldn't buy it. Plastic bits everywhere 'chromed' plastic keys etc. Also, it's large, the boot is *useless* (worse than the Z3!) and the engine (that was the 4 cylinder) is nowhere as powerful.

Anyway can't complain, but I'm now back in the Z and realizing how lucky I am to have one!

Not a MB fan in general, to me they look more like a car that you sit on as apposed to sit in. Other than the more modern SLK I prefer the 190 era. Drove a C220 recently, nice drive but wouldn't buy one with my own money. As said, horses for courses :)

Spot on AMcD, had one of those, could not bond with it like my old 230CE, left it for the then wife to drive.
Give me a Z3 or an old Jeep any day.

Looks a bit gay as well.

I had a 55 reg CLK350 softtop that went like the clappers. 7 speed auto and a genuine 4 seater but sadly only averaged 19mpg and much less towing the tin tent but got plenty of double takes towing with the roof down.
