As promised here and now that I am back again from my holidays; a progress thread.

I picked this pre facelift up in December 2011, following a pretty unsuccessful 1,5 year ownership of a Monaco blue 2007 2.5si. Beauty to look at (at least from my humble perspective :whistle:), but loads of issues, mostly N52 related. First pic is the final result, second is mid way (prior to the M front skirt and the KW V2 lowering):

I already made a fair number of mods to this Mobaco blue specimen, including:

- KW v2 suspension set;
- 19"Beyern Multispook wheels;
- M front skirt with license plate sticker;
- White and aluminum badges all around;
- Removal of all badges, escept BMW roundels;
- Wiechers strutt brace;
- restoration of driver's seat bolster;
- Dension Ice link;
- AUX install;
- Inevitable stubby;
- etc., etc.

I traded the Monaco blue 2.5si in on a 2003 3.0i. Just 60.000 km on the clock, exterior already modded by the previous owner, interior 100% standard;

Mods performed already (all of them undone by me meanwhile :ymdevil:);

- Non oem clear headlights (xenon bulbs in a halogen lamp :nailbiting:);
- 19" Inter Action multi spoke deep dish S038 rims;
- AC Schnitzer style boot wings(already gone on the above picture);
- some sort of side wings just behind the rear wheels (also already gone on the above picture);
- loads of small chrome bits (including window washer jet caps, stubby, etc.); and
- plexi glass windblocker with massive Z4 logo)

2011

After removal of additional wings on the back and the surplus of chrome on the exterior (each to it'sown taste, just not mine), the first mini mods came along:

- X3 radio buttons;
- ZHP shift knob.

Both still laying around after removal from the Monaco blue 2.5si.

Next:

- Symmetric rear lights (red OEM chrome bulb as fog light)

2012

2012 started with a small experiment: no french fries and only white inners:

Though "doable" I later removed the vinyl patches again.

- quad exhaust head a custom quad built and installed by the German company Stueber (at the time fairly popular on the German forum):

- New window mechanisms + door isolation (not visible on the picture):

- BMW badges instead of "InterAction"

- Removal of 3.0i badges and Z4 badge:

- From aftermarket headlights to OEM ones with blacked out indicators:

Potentially a good idea and it does work on a black car. On a Titan silver it does not IMHO (see 2013 mods)

2013

As I mentioned above I was not satisfied with the blacked out ginger indicators. I thus started 2013 with sourcing two relatively cheap broken head lights with white hockey sticks:

Left the four headlights with a friend of mine, who opened them up, did the swap and sealed them again, resulting in: clear OEM xenon head lights:

Following 3,5 years of checking forums, Ebay, etc., I also sources some LHD, electric M sport seats:

Combined these with some other beige bits and bobs:

I also combined the M suspension with Eibach Pro springs:

- Installed a sprint booster, sourced for almost next to nothing (in essence: like the increased throttle response from the Sport button, but in two steps and much stronger):

- Mid muffler delete:

- More to come for following years -

Uhhm. I see some trouble with respect to pictures showing. I am linking to Flickr. Anyone an idea of what might be wrong?
