Mattewsons z3 for sale

Needs a bit of TLC. No aircon or cruise control would put me off though. :(

Good price for such low miles even though it's requiring a bit of tidying. I truely don't get the need for AC on a soft top but cruise I do love. My old Z3 was poverty spec, never did me any harm in the 7 years I owned it but I do love the cruise on the Z4 especially now we are doing euro trips in it.

On really hot summer days especially on motorway runs, I find the aircon a boon. Hood up, A/C on and it's comfortable. Hood off in July sun on a motorway is hot and noisy.
Cruise can be retrofitted - more complex on non-fly by wire cars as this one might be, but still possible.

Has to be one of the dirtiest engine bays I've ever seen - clearly the Matthewsons storage & wash service doesn't stretch to under the bonnet.

Considering how many Z3's they've sold in the past I'm suprised they didn't know about the roof operation and I wonder if the knocking they reported is a broken spring or failed exhaust bracket.

Either way a nice looking low mileage example at a reasonable price if it goes for the guide.

The V5 situation seems a bit strange though and would mean any buyer would have to incur transportation fees or arrange storage with Matthewsons. My experience with the DVLA was it took over a month to get a missing V5 on a previous car I bought. They have to write out to the last owners address and allow 2 weeks for a response. Can't understand how they don't have it if the car is being sold by the current owner.

Elderly owner by all accounts, engine bay really neglected, so what else has been neglected?

Air con in the wet is handy too helping prevent misting up.

Certainly on a super hot day its roof up air con on for me.

Surprised its valued up to £4K....will be surprised if it goes for more than £3250.

No current V5c.....why?
Looks like it has lived by the sea, judging by the engine bay.
Also that pad thing on the dash looks like it's hiding something. I wonder what?

Pad thing is probably a dehumidifier bag but could still be hiding something.

Wow! I'm amazed at the positivity on this 🙈😂. The car has done 56k and is 25 years old! It's had the same owner since 2012 which is nice. The Z3 is creeping up in value, so what if you've got to do a bit of work to it? You don't expect to buy a 25 year old car and it be perfect surely? I sold my 2.8 Z3 four years ago with 102k on it for just under £5k. The car at £3-4k and a grand spent making it good seems a good buy to me. A 56k Z3, low ownership, would be a nice thing to have in your stable 👍🏼

Well it sold for £100 more than I thought, so a tiny bit surprised, but if someone loves it and is happy to invest a bit will make them happy.

Even with the buyers premium I reckon that's a good price for a sub 60k widebody - gope the lack of a current V5 doesn't cause the buyer to many issues.
