Hi I have a 2000 2.3 Z3 Manual I bought it last week at 110k miles. There is no service record of the transmission fluid being replaced, should I change it or is it not worth the risk of possible issues being uncovered?

Thanks Nathan

No problems changing gearbox and diff oils just ensure you undo the filler plugs before drain plugs to ensure they come out OK. Fill for life as bmw like to quote really means the life of the warranty they give when the car is new, in the real world nothing lasts forever. At your mileage a change will be for the good and you will know what's in there.

Sorry for such a late question but do you have a recommendation on which fluid I should use for my getrag in my 2000 Z3
