Hi all.
Collected the Z3 today and one of the things I need to address is the roof. The problem is that the drivers side locking mechanism for the roof is jammed.
It seems that the locking latch has entered a small gap in front of the main gap it should have gone into, and now won’t come out. It moves to the point where the latch swings down that it catches and I am unsure if something is jamming against it such as the metal pin on the roof hitting the window frame or if the latch itself is faulty and not swinging down.
I could try unscrewing that bolt, but wanted to check first as I’d struggle to put that back in.
Anyone had this before? Currently the car roof is therefore locked up, but it leaves a gap on drivers side so it’s not weatherproof.
***Update*** Fixed it. I decided to give it a go unbolting that small silver post which did the trick when combined with a "bash" to get things moving. Locks lovely now and is weather-tight.
