I decided to plug a reader into my Z. No reason, I just wanted to see if there were any old codes. The only one showing was P0101 which is the one everyone probably knows by heart. I've never had any luck buying after market MAF sensors, so want to get the right one. The part number is 13621432356. Who is the OEM manufacturer? Is it Bosch? Apart from the main dealer, can you buy them from? I've tried the usual places (Autodoc, ebay, Amazon) and haven't found a Bosch.

Have you tried clearing the code and see if it comes back, these things are often intermittent. If there is a problem it is probably best to bite the bullet and buy OEM. Sopers will give you a good deal.

If you want, I can check your MAF for you.

I need a data log from an OBD2 scanner. Can provide you the setup for the log and the test procedure (takes about 5 minutes). The log is run though a spread sheet and will show how far out of wack your MAF is.

The cheapest way to set up an OBD2 data logger is to purchase a EML327 OBD2 dongle (WIFI for Apple or Bluetooth for Android) and the OBD Fusion smart phone app.

Here is more about the OBD Fusion app and how to set it up. https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/obd-fusion.1240733/#post-18380161

I do this sort of free over the internet diagnostic's all the time.
