Just like to thank you to @gookah for selling me the manifold at Santa pod last week.

I bought a new CCV set and went about changing the manifold yesterday.

6 hours of headscratching and swearing at the thing, it is finally fitted. There was a sigh of relief when it started 1st time.
Had to change a few of the vacuum lines as 2 of them snapped when removing them.

Feels like a new machine after 4k revs!

(Also thanks to my dad @MRH1966 for helping out...a bit)

You didn't hang about then.... 1 week later.

and 6 hours is great for a first time, I still took 4 hours and I have done this job 3 times now..
First time start means you plugged the throttle body in fully then... unlike some.

how many nuts/bolts did you drop and have to search for? because they never reach the floor. They always ledge somewhere.

As you say, 4k revs onwards its a different car.

No time wasted!

Luckily we didn't drop a single one! Though we did have 2 bolts left over for cable management on the passenger side, but we assumed they didn't line up as the throttle body adapter pushed everything out an inch or so

did you also adjust the throttle cable some more? otherwise the throttle flap doesn't open fully.
You need to screw the cable adjuster (on the idle control valve bracket) out some more, to take up the slack that is now in the cable, because the throttle body is now further out in comparison to the ICV bracket.
