Has anyone found a reliable source of non-BMW intake hoses? I normally buy BMW but they are getting expensive now. Best part of £30 ea.

I've used copies on 2 occasions before but it's been hit and miss.

Lower - 13541435627
Upper - 13541435625 (incorrectly shows 13541705209 on diagrams btw)

Thanks

Tell me about it, BMW handbrake cables gone from £20 to £50. Had to resort to 'adjusting' (shall we say) aftermarket ones.
Oh no. I need a pair of them for latest project. They used to be a bargain at £20, only a couple of quid cheaper than aftermarket which as you allude to need a modification.

I got a pair of handbrake cables from autodoc a few weeks ago about £9 -£9.50 each fitted perfect no modifications needed just took awhile to be delivered (around 10 days) the make was A.B.S.

I use Febi stuff and their intake boots are very good.

As for MAF's I only use Bosch, Siemens and Febi, the latter of which are Bosch/Siemens units with the logos ground off. Everything else including some 'good' name stuff such as Bremi is complete garbage.

Febi only rebox and sell stuff. The vast majority is OE with the makers logos ground off.

Sorry for the late reply I was away for the weekend , should've maybe said mine was for a 2.8 I don't know if they are different or not this is the ones I got
www.autodoc.co.uk/abs/7718661
For reference. There is an ABS part K19995 and K19994 (approx 30mm shorter). Looking on realoem it would seem the 1.9 pre-facelift has a different cable than the facelift and pre-facelift 2.8. This would make some sense I guess given the 1.9 pre-facelift has different trailing arms. So K19995 looks correct for my 2.2 facelift too.

As these are tried and trusted by you they're a bargain for £9. The cheapest I could see for same make in UK was £30 on ebay. And £20 for the cheapest make. From experience some non-OEM cables need modification at the handbrake end.

Used Febi for both of mine, can't fault them and been on and off quite a few times!
