Picked myself up a cheap M54b25 manifold complete with Disa etc. Have the throttle body adapter plate ready to go. Other than a manifold gasket do I need anything else if anyone has done it ? Any pitfalls to watch out for.

Cheers

I'm hoping you don't have the M52TU engine the TU is what will make your job difficult. The normal M52 is a doddle to fit but the TU version needs some more work.

There is a thread kicking around on here about it, we discussed it at length only a few months ago. @Ashbandicoot has just done the same mod.

Mine is definitely the M52tu twin vanos, I have the specific m52tu to m54b25 adapter from BMsport in Lithuania, I have got the matching Disa, from all I have read I can't see many problems as such but we will see

The non TU can make use of the M50 manifold I believe.

Cheers Jas

How much was the manifold & disa ? Thinking of getting one for mine.

Did we say mine was a single vanos @Antm72? o_O. I spoke to Ant about doing this and apparently it makes quite a difference to the BHP.

Does anybody know if the disa on a M52TUB28 can be kept & used on the M54B30 manifold ? What does it do anyways!!
