Hi.

So finally managed to give the new Z3 a good run out and encountered an issue when got home. In short, fire up the engine and it was dropping revs when idle before stalling. Then it would just cut out without any gas applied. No issues when cold or under load just when stationary, neutral and warm. Car fires up just fine each time.

I tried when the engine cooled down (but still warm), lumpy with no cut out but when I revved it, engine gets warmer and idle then cuts.

I’m thinking perhaps the Idle Control Valve needs a good cleaning but is there anything else to consider?

I should mention that when driving it, I had no issue with power. It’s an M44, 1.9 and 1997 Z3.

**Edit** I am wondering if instead it may be clutch related. I can hear a noise when in neutral, clutch depressed and idling which makes me think a bearing is in its way out or the clutch is not fully disengaging (Car stationary but I suspect if it is, it’s only slight). Importantly, car does not stall when warm and clutch depressed.

I also cleaned the ICV and it’s nit stalling, but you can tell it’s still a bit rough on the idle.
