i agree kev....when its running there seems to be no movement of the fluid...
next one then.. where is it located on the front of the engine?..
iv just bought a new one of ebay and a new thermostat..

im just hoping is not knackered anything else up....seems to be a dripping from the radiator..

yes front of engine, driven from auxillary belt. so suggest replacement belt at same time. should come with new 'o' sealing ring too for the pump. it jacks off using a securing bolt but take care as the casting is brittle and may snap. mine did but still managed to get the old pump out. mine was changed as a preventative measure. good luck :-bd

well it looks like we have to resort to the 2 bolts to push this bad boy off...............iv just read an reply on another forum and it took the gut 3 weeks to get it out! he had to destroy it to move it lol.
up to yet iv used the rubber mallet as per instructions........then hammer....then lump hammer......not a bean!
next step is to find 2 holes in there that take 5 or 6 ml bolts that screw in and push this off....however this can brake the lugs off the side....!
will resume this test of will another time...but has anyone had the same problems?

no.....they sent me the wrong one out....so iv removed the thermostat from the housing and also found the sensor inside it broken...so at the moment its running without any obstructions at all.....as you can guess it took a while to warm up...but i did get some heat in the matrix......i just need the correct thermostat sending out now and we'll see where we go from there

ok a little pic of the way i removed the water pump..
when you remove the 4 screws if the pump wont budge try this..
there are 2 holes at the top and bottom of the pump.....these take a 5mm thread if i can remember....just make a locking nut on them and take it nice and slow...top half turn then bottom half turn....and out it will pop

thaks kev for the tip ;)
