As the title, I’m getting a clunk which I think is gearbox related.
More noticeable when the roof is up.
It happens when changing gear not always and when releasing clutch again not every-time so I’m guessing gearbox / drive related.
I’ve been under it and nothing stands out as having any play.
Considering dropping the gearbox out over winter and overhauling.
New Clutch
Maybe Detent pins as it has quite a notch gear change.
Is there anything else I should be changing while it’s out. Guibo ?? Any drive related bearings ?
Gonna start gathering parts now prior to the work.
thanks in advance.

Sounds too obvious but could it be something simple like the propshaft universal joints?

Probably either, I only say it could be this because I had a car several years ago with a clunk on take up and it was a propshaft universal joint but I can't remember which one or both, sorry.

Don't rule out the diff being the issue. If possible get it on a ramp and get under it and try to simulate the noise.
