In the past I changed out a door actuator when it started acting up. They are a bit of a pain to swap out.
To save a bit of hassle this time, while still challenging to get to the right spot, I thought I’d try a WD40 shower to the mechanism by extending a WD40 pipe and getting to the guts of the actuator. While it’s not easy to get to the exact spot (with the help of the cellphone video & flash) - it’s now 3 weeks & so far so good.
