Is it true that the springs fitted to the sport cars were 15mm lower? Looking around it seems that Eibach 30mm lower are the main choice - but if there are such a thing as OEM 15mm lower are they readily available? And are they very expensive?

I think the sports models have springs 15mm lower and i presume as long as you quote a reg from a sport model i imagine the spring is obtainable like any other.

Factory Sport models (only produced in facelift) and earlier models which had "M Sport" suspension will be 15mm lower. You can use LK15858 to run through realoem.com if that helps - it's the first 7 digits of my 2.2i Sport.

@GazHyde thanks for that.. put that no in real oem and front and rear springs no longer listed. So then l put my last 6 in for my 2.8 and same thing.. springs no longer listed. So from that can we deduce there is no longer any stock available from bmw?

I am after the exact same thing, as I find the -30 from Eibach already too much.
I said "The heck, they might be expensive but what's the deal about buying a set of Sport springs from BMW, wouldn't be too hard would it"
Went to realOEM and bounced into the same issue...back to square one:sorry:

No, just that we can't find the part numbers! You could try ringing a dealer and asking them, but give them my VIN number for them to look up.

You could fit Eibach springs and then "adjust" your ride height by using different rubber pads on the rear at least.

Tony.

Gundun - am I reading this as you have -30 fitted and don't like it or just wouldn't go that route as you find it too low

@Redsheep I currently have standard springs on and I have seen many -30mm but they already look too low for me to go down that road (it's a pure matter of personal preferences and I know I am fussy)
Especially at the back I don't like how only -30mm already mess up with the rear camber quite a bit.
