Loss of power (and addition of drone)with muffler delete?

Right, then...

Wanting to get a little more throaty note from the exhaust (2.5L)...Magnaflow makes a cat back system for California, but it’s a little mild. I like the sound of muffler delete, but worry about losing power and adding drone. For the folks that have done this,have you experienced any...undesired effects?

For those of us in California, any issue with smog or hassles from police?

Hey Boat Dude, I did the Magnaflow to my car many years ago, sometime around 2003. My car is driven daily and has never had any issue because of this except I tend to drive faster and wind out the engine so I can hear that gorgeous six rev! For me, its highly recommended and because I have the cat still in place it's never had any ill effects and really isn't that loud!
