Wanted Looking for a wind defector for a post facelift Z3 with no hoops,

Would really like to find a wind defector for my 2001 Z3. Having looked at few it appears to be the 700mm between mounting holes that I require all the ones I have found are 755mm. Has anyone got one for sale or any suggestions on what type to buy please?

You are really going to struggle to find a 700 mm one for your face-lift zed.
I hunted for one for a year for mine to no avail.
I ended up buying a 750 mm pre face-lift one with brackets and turrets and done some minor mods to make it fit.

I now have roll hoops fitted and now have a perspex deflector.
I still have my non roll bar one and the turrets and brackets if you can't find what you are looking for and these are of any interest to you get in touch with me .
There is an option for you to see them as well as I will be down in Great Yarmouth ( covid restrictions permitted) in 3 weeks time and could possibly bring it all with me .

Being new to the Z3 I not sure I understand. Doesn't the post face lift wind defector mount in the 2 lower holes ?

Yes Amanda the genuine bmw one does ( so does the pre face-lift) .
If you look at my picture above of the turrets and the brackets you will see the brackets are different.
But you will also see the holes in the turrets at the bottom are in different places there is a 25 mm difference in each side ( the 700 and 750.)
The reason for this is the face lift zed 3 got bigger rear speakers so they tweaked the turrets, brackets and deflector to suit.

@Synclare Adrian , couldn't find one at the time so ended up tweaking a pre face-lift to fit.
Until is got a set of roll bars ( off you as it happened) .

Stephen I have just the small lower holes and no holes on the turrets.

Sounds like you have what I require.

I was going to have to remove a turret to fit a replacement seat belt as mine has a big chunk out of it and is an advisory.
I am hoping to go to High Beach Epping Forest on Sunday so will be picking up some tips from the other members there.
Still learning about this lovely little car
