I may have overspent on the zed this month.

Royal steering wheel soon to come and the centre console and boomerangs have been upgraded and two new tyres!

Admittedly the seats weren't cheap but the bloke I bought them from sorted the wiring as these were originally from a facelift!

Heated seats work but no connectors could be found so ill need some connectors if possible from a prefacelift loom.

@Antm72 virtually no damage to either seats and I'm surprised how grippy the leather is (goes to show how worn the leather was on my old seats), I suspect that the seats were reconditioned not too long ago as I cant find a mark on them.

One seat belt guide is broken though. :(

Nice upgrades there mate .
The seats look identical to mine, pre face lift also. shame about the damaged seat belt guide . Me and Ben replaced one on his zed Friday night, easy enough apart from those hog rings that hold the leather to the seat, they are the devils own work .

It'll feel great when you get to drive it with the new steering wheel and sports seats :).
I'd recommend fitting the seat lift kit from @t-tony or @Southernboy as it raises the front of the seat a bit and helps stop you sliding forward when braking, also feels comfier too .

@Sean d I have the connector in the car but the issue is that I don't have the pre facelift loom with the relay. So there's nothing to plug into that connector at the moment.

So which bit are you missing the car loom ? It was a full integral loom the relay just plugged in the fuse box everything else should be there if not think you may need an auto electrician to wire them to work .

I think that Garry @Jack Ratt had this issue but got some adapters from BMW?

Yeah, they're around £53 each from Soper's. I did a thread about it if someone can find it

I don't think the hog rings will be a factor on those seats - with the plastic back removed there should be a zip running up the back, giving you access to replace the guide. The standard seats don't have the zip, so are a pain to do.

My sport seats have the relays fitted to the underside of the base, I also purchased the loom adapters

I did wonder about that, as you say the sports seats have the plastic backs, where as the one we repaired was a standard seat with the joining strip down the back which meant having to peel back the seat cover.

We cut the wiring and used @t-tony 's favourite method of joining cables - spade connectors - covered the connectors with heat shrink tubing. =)) (sorry!)

We removed part of the loom from my old seats and attached it to the loom on the new sports seats.

There are a couple of wires (not connectors just wires) that are no longer connected to anything and these are for the heated seats.

I have the connector present in the car but need the plug to connect to those wires.

Don't know if that makes sense?

Some pictures of the connectors in the car may help someone identify what is needed mate. Personally I have no experience of this.:)
