This is my first post on this site and my apologies if this is in the wrong spot, but I am a new member. I am replacing my cassette player in my vehicle, finally, and my subwoofer is dry-rotted. I removed the subwoofer box. BAVSOUND no longer makes easy plug and play systems for guys like me that do not want to rewire the car. Does anyone know of some pop-in audio ideas for the subwoofer and amp that would be an upgrade? The old subwoofer is a 2x2 Ohm, 2x50W speaker. Thank you everyone. I have a 2000, BMW Z3, 2.3L Convertible with 24,600 Miles.

I have a brand new subwoofer Alumapro 8" made by integralaudio.com that I'm thinking of selling. Look on their website, they do not make this anymore but you can see all the specs there.
Basically, you do not use the small speakers behind each seat, they are basically useless. Replace the small sub between the seat in the rollover shelf with this unit and at the same time upgrade the door speakers and amp and you have a very powerful system with this subwoofer bass behind you. Lots of z3 people have done this. I was in one of the buying groups when I purchased. Please let me know if interested and can send more information

I have a tan interior but have seen that setup. No sure if that is the road I want to take just yet. Thanks for responding.

There are only two things that you see the grill and grill surround. You can easily spray the grill to match your interior. I did this on mine and the sound is absolutely great, Focals speakers in the doors and then this 8" subwoofer. The speakers behind the seats are blocked by the seats so they are redundant, if you want to look up the specs look at
web site integralaudio.com
Thanks John
