Hi everyone...and thank you Gary, for the welcome message.
I came across the site while searching for info on doing the oil/filter change on my wee Z4.
...Lucky for me, I did! Lucky for me that before he refilled the sump, my eagle-eyed man emptied the used oil and noticed a small copper ring.

I'm heading back in for more education so hope to 'meet' you all later

Im glad to hear you had a good time over here. I had a great 5 years in England back in my 20s.
