Decided last night its long overdue that I started a progress thread for the Dakar as I have done a few things to it since I bought it.
I have reserved 2 spaces and I will use them to do a story so far to bring me up to date.
Back experimenting with thermochromic ink again ( watch this space for some colour change brakes in the offing)
Thought since I had the ink there I would do the rocker cover refitted last night so pictures are with flash in the dark.
Heat spreads from chain end then up from exhaust side of rocker till fully warmed and all yellow.
I should have popped the bonnet this morning to see how deep the orange goes in the cold as it was pretty frosty here this morning.

Trying something different still kinda experimental as the stuff I am using is screen printing ink but done Lynne's zed rocker last year and it has survived.

At least you can tell the MOT station what colour it should be before doing the emissions part of the test.

Flip is around 31°c shot this hyperlapse video on my phone compressed around 13min real time into 1m 30 s show how the rocker heats up from the chain end 1st then heat spreads up and across the rocker from the exhaust side .
