Tried a stubby on mine but wasn't that good in and out of the valleys, standard mast worked best. Will see how the cheap replacement aerial I fitted since my original started playing up again, must dismantle it and resolder the central mast wire again to see if that will restore it again.

Reception seems fine for me though I usually listen to Planet Rock streamed from phone

Tried a stubby one on mine. Not for long, reception were cr4p, so the oem went back on.
