If you haven't driven a Z4 then do that before making your mind up! The Z4 is a very competent all rounder, but you may find it lacks the smile factor the Z3 has. I've had 2 of each now, and I've always found it hard walking away from the Z3.

Also depends which Z4 as the 2.0 do not have a good reputation

Sounds too good to be true - the price I mean - with reference to your statement. Do a thorough check in and out under bonnet and underneath - and as already stated take an extended test drive forward - and in reverse with full locks both directions - good luck!

Guy said its a 3.o, i've asked for more details, history etc, saw a picture of it and he told me who the last owner was before his mate took it as a P/ex on a new range rover...

Hopefully its not a bum steer and he actually does have it, however, been told about similar before and suddenly when want to see it its a case of "sorry mate, just sold it"

If its a 3.0 and its really cheap that would have the alarm bells ringing for me I'm afraid I'd be wanting to know why.
Maybe I'm too suspicious but you'd be gutted getting rid of a perfectly good z3 for a banger of a z4 if that's what it turned out to be.

funny been thinking the same myself.. i love my little Z3, and all things about it... i dont want to lose the fun factor... and meeting with like minded z3 owners... but Z4 beginning to grow on me...

what can i do to stop selling my motorbikes and buying a Z4....?

just so tempted...especially as its summer...

It's about being a Z roadster owner, not just a Z3 or Z4 owner. Drive one, you might like it , you might not, but at least you'll know. I am very happy with the choice I made. They are 2 very different cars to be fair. As an every day use car the Z4 is streets in front of the Z3, depends what you want?

It's a 13 year old car with 80,000 miles on it. In my book that makes it low mileage.
