Morning all, as some of you may know i went off to Le'mans a week ago with a group of friends to see what all the fuss was about. I can now see what the attraction is and can safely say i have had a once in a life time experience and shall never forget it. I took hundreds of photos and shot some interesting videos, stretching the legs of my Z3M and can certainly say these M's are very underrated. I kept up with most of the TVR's and no one managed to loose me when we played games, of course all was carried out at 130km/h on the French toll roads.
A brief over view of how/where/why.
We had a convoy of 14ish very exotic cars all meeting at Folkestone join the euro tunnel ferry across to France. i paid this well in advance which only cost me £93 that includes return. We stayed about 20mins away from the centre of Le'man in a 5 star place called "Chateau De Chateloup" the place was beautiful 1400 centry home set on acres of land with a lake. Lucky for us we were camped on the lake. This cost 85 euro per person camping and some people Glamped (Premade luxury tents) this was around 170 euros each. "The why" When i purchased my M the guy that owned it before said that if i bought this car i would have to join them to Le'man because its been every year for a long time, it didn’t take a lot of convincing.
These are only a few of the photos that i took. If you want to see the videos of various speedy moments feel free to find me on Facebook (Also one of the guys had a noble spitting 6 foot flames) Look for Lee Joyce I’m a friend of Gary's.
Keiths TVR Cerb (aka Batman) with stright through pipes. Very Very noisy!
Gareths Sagaris in mint condition again amazing sound.
Re group once we got off the Tunnel train. quick fuel top up and set off.
Quick stretch of our legs after 150miles and again to re group.
Another fuel stop and food stop. We caused quite a stir in this town. When we came out we couldnt see our cars. So many people taking photos.
Finally arrived at the Chateau. We left calais around 8am and arrived a Le'man at 3pm.Too the bar and pool.
Of course you couldnt visit france without doing some wine tasting!
Starting to get busy nowready for the pink & black party.
These cars were invited onto the green for the party.
Party Now in full swing.
One of the guys had a go pro attached to a Hoovering helicopter which took some great shots.
As you can see it was quite hot!
This was Le'man Track side.
And paddock access
Lovly 1939 Bmw.
Another great shot from height over the chateau.
This was our camping setup by the lake. You can see some of us playing out in the boats.
Then this made me chuckle. The heart of the sagaris, very hot heart.
Thanks for reading (Apoligies on grammer very quick write up)
