I put these instructions together around 4 years ago, they have been used by quite a number of people, some of the cheap Chinese footwell lights come with these instructions:eek: they didn't even ask:eek: unlike the Gentleman Frank G Sisto jr (he makes the gill lights) who did ask if I minded if he used or copied them, not at all chap, feel free;)

Than ks for this Jason.

The interior light doesn't work when the drivers side door is opened. Also if I tap the headliner, where the interior light is positioned it has a tendency to go out.

It used to work when the car was purchased. Do you know why this could be?

In my project zed they don't work on either doors. In fact it just doesn't turn on, bulb is present.

Hi @littlefeller, I have bought some light strips to do exactly this with so that I have something to do over the winter. Can you tell me where the best place to access the lighting loom would be to install these?
Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

take a look at the attached PDF, its a full install guide, if you have no PDF reader then the best place is behind the driver side A frame trim

the PDF is situated beneath the photos and is titled new fitting instructions:thumbsup:

Thanks @littlefeller.
It would help if I looked in more detail in the first place wouldn't it!

Can't wait to get these installed.:D

I've got 4 strips all connected together so I may put a strip behind each seat to balance the glow around the interior. If it's too much I can always take them back out again.

sounds like you have a loose connection at the light, my passenger side door doesn't activate the lights, this is something I need to check out.

I have been considering moving mine under the seats, trying to get that warm inviting look.

All I get when I open the PDF on my iPhone is what appears to be Chinese or another foreign language. Any suggestions? JIM

I used 100mm strips for the "side" boot lights in my Z3, but for the boot in my Z4 I used these 300mm strips.

Imported from Walmart, these are them fitted in my boot, very good light.

I had a car I'd bought that was all done with quick connects everywhere. Had to take it all apart and solder everything to get my lights to work. So I'd recommend soldering to be on the safe side and save yourself problems later. JIM
